FUTURE TIME 2010/L.A. ANNA ROSE SHOW/EICHLEAY RECORD

1/9/2010

Happy New Year! 2010 is sure to be a great year since there were plenty of 80's sci-fi films that took place in 2010, meaning soon we'll be waist deep in time travel, aliens, spaceships, and gigs. We've just finished tracking basics for the forthcoming John Eichleay record here in NYC. West coasters can catch Anna Rose playing in L.A. at The Hotel Cafe this Tuesday January 12 at 7pm. Lots of other great stuff is in the works for 2010 (not time travel that I know of), so stay tuned.

ROBERT PLANT JOINS US ON STAGE!

11/6/09

Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame joined us on stage to lend his vocals to "Calling To You," a tune of his we had been covering on tour and on the new record.  It was an incredible end to an outstanding tour!  Stay tuned for state-side dates with Dunnery.

BRAND NEW IT BITES 6/24/09

Just back from Philly after the first session for the New Progressives.  We reworked and started tracking basics for some of Francis' tunes from the It Bites days, some unreleased material, and a few choice covers that we're putting our spin on.  The band is killing and I'm sure the end product will be very musical. Francis is a truly great songwriter for those of you that are unfamiliar with his work, evidenced at the sessions by the fact that all of his tunes worked beautifully in any direction we took them in.  I'm very excited for the release before the UK tour (to which new dates have been added, btw). Keep an eye out for the DVD we filmed in Seattle this past fall as well, coming soon. I haven't seen the final video yet, but the final audio mix is amazing!

U.K. TOUR DATES  6/1/09

New dates have been announced for the New Progressives tour of the U.K. this fall. They are posted on Myspace.

NEW PROGRESSIVES ANNOUNCED 5/20/09

In the coming months I'll be working with Francis Dunnery (It Bites, Robert Plant, Lauryn Hill) on his New Progressives project. The new record will feature many special guests from the prog scene from both America and the U.K., but the basic tracking will feature Francis on guitar and vocals, me on bass, Tom Brislin on keys (Spiraling, Yes, Meatloaf), Brett Kull on guitar, and Paul Ramsey on drums (both from Echolyn). As we say in my native New England, it's gonna be a pissah. Local Northeast shows and a European tour will follow in the fall. Check out FrancisDunnery.com for the hilarious introduction to the band and more on special guests.

REDUX TUNE GETS 500,000+ HITS ON YOUTUBE  5/19/09

The song the Redux boys (Joe Hanley, Tom Burda, RJ Rabin, me) wrote and produced for SocialVibe is up around 530,000 hits on YouTube.  It's posted on my video page.

NEW TRACKS POSTED 3/25/09

New tracks from Dirty Lil' Cowboys posted featuring Amber Rhodes on vocals and studio great Kenny Aronoff on drums! Go to my music page to hear some clips of Kenny rocking "Table Top Dancin" and me reacquainting my bow with my upright bass on a beautiful ballad called "Home" by Amber and Hugh Colocott.  An EP is in the works.
